Peranan UPT PSDA Memotivasi Kelompok Tani dalam Meningkatkan Produksi Padi diKabupaten Sidenreng Rappang

This study aims to determine the role of farmer groups in increasing lowland rice
production in Maritenganae District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency and find out
what obstacles are faced by farmer groups towards increasing rice production in
Maritenganae District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The study was carried out
from July to Agustus 2022 in Maritenganae District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency.
The number of farmers who were taken by simple random sampling as
respondents was 18 people. Data collection techniques through direct observation
and interviews with respondents using a list of questions and secondary data.
Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis using a scoring system that is
giving a score to each question item that is used to see the role of farmer groups.
The role of farmer groups in increasing production is moderate. Where of the five
roles of the group, 3 of them are classified as low, 2 are classified as high. The
roles that are categorized as low are the roles of farmer groups in providing
production facilities and facilities, applying five farming technologies, cooperation
with government institutions or KUD. While the roles that are categorized as high
are the role of farmer groups in disseminating information, and the role of farmer
groups in planning activities. And the obstacles faced by farmer groups in
increasing rice production are the lack of production facilities and facilities, the lack
of application of five farming technologies and the lack of institutions/KUD. to
increase the production of farmer groups..
