Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Pengelolaan Taman Hutan Raya (TAHURA) Abdul Latief Desa Batu Belerang Kecamatan Sinjai Borong Kabupaten Sinjai

The research aims to determine the public's perception of the management of the Abdul Latief Grand Forest Park Area. The research was conducted from January to February 2023, taking place in Mattirotasi Hamlet, Batu Sulerang Village, Sinjai Borong District, Sinjai Regency. The research method used was purposive sampling with a total of 30 respondents. Collecting data using interview observation techniques, questionnaires, literature studies and documentation. Data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method with a Likert scale. The variables used were social characteristics of the community and community perceptions of the management of the Abdul Latief Grand Forest Park area which were analyzed based on indicators including community knowledge regarding implementing activities such as planning work areas, clearing forest areas, opening campgrounds , logging regulations in the forest, land clearing and forest security in preserving the forest in the TAHURA area and the formation of forest farmer groups. The results showed that the community's perception of the management of the grand forest park (TAHURA) resulted in a very good response so that the results could be classified on a very good scale with an average value of 20.32 and a category score of 2.90.
