Hubungan Aktifitas Spiritual Dengan Kualitas Hidup Lansia di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tompobulu Kabupaten Maros

Background, The aging process is a natural process that cannot be prevented and
is a normal thing experienced by people who are given the gift of a long life, where
everyone hopes to live a calm, peaceful life and enjoy retirement with their beloved
children and grandchildren with great love. Not all elderly people can experience
this dream condition. The aging process continues to cause problems both
physically, biologically, mentally and socio-economically (Anis Ika Nur Rohmah
2012). Apart from various chronic diseases, elderly people also experience
psychosocial problems including physical disabilities, such as depression, anxiety
about death and suicide (Mira Afnesta Yuzefo, 2015).Purpose, This research aims
to determine the relationship between spiritual activities and the quality of life of
the elderly in the working area of the Tompobulu Public Health Center, Maros
Regency..Metode, This research uses a correlational method, namely by looking
for the relationship between spiritual activities and the quality of life of elderly
people in the Tompobulu Community Health Center Working Area, Maros
Regency. The number of samples in this study was 51 elderly people and sampling
used a purposive sampling technique..Results, Research shows that there is a
relationship between spiritual activities and the quality of life of the elderly in the
Tompobulu health center working area, Maros district using the chi-square
statistical test with a value (P Value = 0.003). Conclution, The results of this
research can be concluded that there is a relationship between spiritual activities
and the quality of life of the elderly in the working area of Tompobulu Health
Center, Maros Regency..
