Pengaruh Pendidikan Kesehatan Terhadap Pengetahuan Remaja Tentang Kesehatan Reproduksi di SMA Negeri 19 Gowa

Background. Adolescence is a period of rapid growth and development both
physically, psychologically and intellectually. The characteristic of adolescents is
having a great sense of curiosity, liking adventure and challenges and tending to
dare to take risks for their actions without being preceded by careful
consideration. Therefore it is important to do health education about adolescent
reproductive health.
Objective. Identify the knowledge of adolescents before and after reproductive
health education at SMA Negeri 19 Gowa.
Method. This study used a pre-experimental design. The approach used in this
research is the one group pre-test and post-test design technique. Questionnaire
as a measuring tool to determine the knowledge of adolescent students of class XI
SMA Negeri 19 Gowa.
Results. Based on the results of the study it was found that the level of knowledge
of adolescents before being given health education was still lacking, namely 45
people (75%) and the rest were good, namely 15 people (25%), but after giving
health education there was an increase in knowledge about reproductive health in
respondents, namely 55 people. (91.7%) and the rest are still lacking, namely 5
people (8.3%). The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test showed a significant
value of p = 0.000 and it could be seen that there was a change in adolescents'
knowledge about reproductive health before and after the implementation of
adolescent reproductive health education.
Conclusion. There is a significant influence between health education on
adolescent knowledge before and after health education about reproductive
health.
