Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Kepatuhan Perawat Dalam Penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) di RSUD Syekh Yusuf Kabupaten Gowa

Individuals most at risk of infection are people who have close contact with patients and health workers who care for patients, one of whom is a nurse. Work accidents among nurses are considered a serious problem because they threaten the health and welfare of patients and health workers globally, so researchers are interested in taking research on "Factors that Influence Nurse Compliance in Using Personal Protective Equipment at Syekh Yusuf Regional Hospital, Gowa Regency" which aims to find out how The influence of nurses' compliance in implementing patient safety on reducing the risk of infection by using personal protective equipment at Syekh Yusuf Regional Hospital, Gowa Regency. This type of research was carried out with a quantitative approach using a cross sectional study design where the sample size was 153 nurses who worked at the Syekh Yusuf Regional Hospital, Gowa Regency from a total population of 247 people. Primary data collection in this research was by using a questionnaire that was distributed directly to respondents regarding the factors that influence nurses' compliance in using personal protective equipment. Then it was analyzed using the Chi Squared Test to see what influence these variables had on nurse compliance. The results show that there is an influence of knowledge on compliance of 0.000 < 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning there is a relationship between knowledge and compliance, there is an influence of motivation on compliance with a p value = 0.002 or p value < 0, 05 so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning there is a relationship between motivation and compliance, there is an influence of attitude and compliance where the p value = 0.000 or p value < 0.05 is obtained, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. means there is a relationship between attitude and compliance. Conclusion, for the management of Syekh Yusuf Hospital, Gowa Regency, to improve behavior and compliance in using PPE in preventing nosocomial infections through training and discussions during meetings with nurses.
