Pengembangan Buku Saku Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD) sebagai Media Promosi Kesehatan di Rumah Sakit Khusus Daerah Ibu dan Anak Pertiwi

Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) is very beneficial, to prevent
hypothermia in infants because the mother's chest is able to warm the baby
appropriately as long as the baby crawls looking for the mother's breast, increase
milk production, build a bond of affection between mother and baby, Increase the
calmness of the baby after going through the birth process. Low implementation
of IMD can have an impact on increasing high mortality and morbidity rates.
The purpose of this research is to produce products in the form of pocket
books that are effective to increase the knowledge of pregnant women about Early
Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) and can be well received by pregnant women.
The research method used is research and development by adapting the
steps of Borg & Gall research that have been simplified by Tim Puslitjaknov,
namely: (1) Media Analysis , (2) product development, (3) expert validation, (4)
initial product revision, (5) small group trial, (6) large group trial, (7) product
development. The small group subjects in this study were pregnant women who
came to visit the Gynecology Polyclinic with 10 respondents. And the subjects of
the large group in this study were pregnant women who came to visit the
Gynecology Polyclinic with respondents as many as 25 people. The instruments
used are questionnaires and evaluation sheets / suggestions The data analysis
technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis through numbers obtained from
the results of questionnaire assessments and qualitative descriptive obtained
through respondent evaluation / suggestion sheets.
The results showed that the Early Breastfeeding Initiation Pocket Book
was included in the Very feasible category based on the results of material
validation with a percentage of 100%. And 75% media expert validation is pretty
decent. Based on small group trials, the product got a percentage of 89
Good/decent and large group trials get a percentage of 93% so they are included
in the good/decent category for use. Thus the media in the form of Early Initiation
Pocket Book is declared suitable to be used as a reference and guide media for
pregnant women, health workers and the community
