This study aims to determine the presence of alkaloid compounds from
avocado seed extract (Persia gratissima Gaertn) by using Visible Ultra
Violet Spectrophotometry. In this study conducted preliminary test with the
addition reagent mayer and dragendoff, showed positive containing
alkaloids. The identification with the TLC 2 Dimension so that in the
appearance of pink stain on UV lamp with wavelength 366 nm, then
measured uptake in spectrophotometry uv-vis so that its absorption is
267,18 nm and value 0,2368.
