Isolasi Dan Identifikasi Senyawa Saponin Ekstrak Etanol Daun Widosari (Ipomea digita L) Yang Berasal Dari Kabupaten Luwu Secara Kromatografi Lapis Tipis dan Spektrofotometri UV-VIS

Research has been carried out on the isolation and identification
of saponin compounds from the ethanolic extract of Widosari (Ipomea
digita L) leaves originating from Luwu Regency by Thin Layer
Chromatography and UV-VIS Spectrophotometry. The purpose of this
study was to isolate and identify saponin compounds in Widosari Leaves
by Thin Layer Chromatography and UV-Vis Spectrophotometry. The
sample was extracted by maceration method because this sample has a
soft texture and cannot withstand heating, the extracted extract was then
carried out phytochemical screening to determine the content of saponin
compounds using Liberman reagent, and 2 N HCl. Then identified by Thin
Layer chromatography method then isolated by the method KLTP and UV�Vis Spectrophotometry. The results showed that windosari leaf extract
from Luwu Regency was found to be positive for saponins based on the
results of qualitative tests using chemical reagents. The extract was
isolated by producing 5 fractions, namely fractions A, B, C, D and E,
fraction A as a single compound. And UV-Vis Spectrophotometry at a
wavelength of 266 nm which is suspected to be a saponin compound.
