Pengelolaan Limbah B3 RSKD Ibu dan Anak Pertiwi di Masa Pandemi Covid-19

Waste is the residue of a business and/or activity that the environment does
not want because it has no economic value. The resulting waste contains
hazardous and toxic (B3) waste. The increase in the amount of hospital medical
solid waste is accompanied by a significant increase in COVID-19 cases
originating from masks, gloves, personal protective clothing, eating utensils and
so on. The purpose of the study was to describe an overview of B3 waste
management during the COVID-19 pandemic at the RSKD Ibu dan Anak Pertiwi
in Makassar. This study used qualitative research methods. Sampling used
purposive sampling with the number of informants in this study as many as 3
participants including the IPCN Comitte, the Head of the Room or Installation
Unit and the Cleaning Officer. The results showed that it provided an overview of
B3 waste management during the COVID-19 pandemic at the RSKD Ibu dan
Anak Pertiwi Makassar, namely sorting, storingand processing transporting,
processing. The conclusion in this study is that the management of B3 waste
during the COVID-19 pandemic at the RSKD Ibu dan Anak Pertiwi Makassar in
Makassar was quite good.
