Hubungan Kecemasan Dengan Kejadian Hipertensi Pada Lansia Di Puskesmas Yendidori Kecamatan Biak Selatan Kabupaten Biak Numfor

Background Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of 140 mmHg
and diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg on two measurements with an
interval of five minutes in a state of sufficient rest/quiet.
Research Methods This study used a research method that is correlation analytic
with a cross sectional study design to determine whether or not there is a relationship
between anxiety and hypertension in the elderly at Yendidori Public Health Center,
South Biak District. The population in this study was 55, namely all hypertension
patients who came for treatment at the Yendidori Public Health Center, South Biak
District, Biak Numfor Regency. with the sampling technique Total sampling.
Research results Based on the results of Chi Square analysis X2 count > X2 table
(3.206 < 2.048) and p value = 0.004, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus,
there is a relationship between anxiety and hypertension in the elderly at the
Yendidori Public Health Center, South Biak District, Biak Numfor Regency in 2020.
The Conclusions based on the results of the study it can be concluded that, most of
the severe anxiety occurs in the elderly at the Yendidori Public Health Center, South
Biak District, Biak Numfor Regency. Most of the hypertension occurs in the elderly
with severe stage III, and there is a relationship between anxiety and the incidence of
hypertension in the elderly at the Yendidori Public Health Center, South Biak
District, Biak Numfor Regency.
