Hubungan Antara Perilaku Merokok Dengan Kepercayaan Diri Siswa Kelas XII TKR-TAB Sekolah Menegah Kejuruan Tut Wuri Handayani Makassar

Background: The threat of cigarettes to health is increasingly frightening. A
2015 National Research and Development Agency study showed that Indonesia
accounts for more than 230 thousand deaths due to consumption of tobacco
products annually
Research Method: this research is an analytic survey with cross sectional study
design is a research design that is intended to see the relationship between the
independent variable (the relationship of smoking behavior) with the dependent
variable (the confidence of students in class XII TKR-TAB) at the same time at
SMK TUT WURI HANDAYANI Makassar
Research Results: the results obtained in this calculation are 0.267. In the
absence of a negative sign (-), it means that there is a significant positive
relationship between smoking behavior and self-confidence in students. Thus the
hypothesis proposed is accepted. It can be concluded that the higher the smoking
behavior, the higher the level of confidence in students.
Conclusion: there is a significant positive relationship between self-confidence
and smoking behavior in students of Raden Intan Lampung UIN with r = 0.267
with a significance of 0.000 where p <0.05. The higher the smoking behavior, the
higher the student's self confidence.
