Waste is dangerous mat erial that is no longer used and can harm the
health of humans and other living creatures. Waste is basically a material that is
discarded or discarded as a result of human activities or natural processes that
does not have negative economic value, and because it is disposed of or cleaned
with proper handling it requires large costs to handle it. The correct way to
identify the category of waste/waste is is by sorting waste based on the color of
the bags and containers used.
This research uses a "cross-sectional study" design, which is a type of
research design that is analytical in nature and is included in the type of survey
research design. The samples in this study were all health workers and cleaning
workers in the Sorong Community Health Center, Sorong district. 32 people. The
results of statistical analysis using the Chi-square test obtained a Fisher's Exact
Test value of p=0.027. Because the p value < α=0.05, the alternative hypothesis is
accepted. This means that there is a relationship between knowledge and the
implementation of the medical waste management system at the Sorong Health
Center.
The conclusion in this research is that there is a relationship between
Knowledge, Attitude, Length of Work, and Attitude which are variables that have
a greater relationship to the implementation of the medical waste management
system at the health center.
